Fu Zhigui (傅植桂)

fuzhiguiFu Zhigui (1932) is from Wuqing, Hebei Province. Fu graduated from the Central Art Academy in 1953 and subsequently worked in the propaganda section of the Angang Steel Works. In 1955, he became the head of the Fine Arts department of the Jilin Provincial Mass Art Center and head of the Fine Arts Department of the Jilin Art School. He entered the Oil Painting Research Class of the Central Art Academy in 1960, and after his graduation in 1963 he joined the Jilin Art Academy. There, he became deputy head of the Fine Arts Faculty, head of the Oil Painting Research Office and Associate Professor.

Fu is known for his oil paintings. Some of his works have been included in the collection of the China Art Gallery.
