Han Xizeng (1942) was born in Xingtai, Hebei Province. He joined the labor force in 1959 and became a member of the Creation Office of the Xingtai Municipal Cultural Bureau in 1976. After he graduated as a research student from the New Year Print and Serial Cartoon Department of the Central Art Academy in 1982, he returned to his job in Xingtai.

Han is acclaimed for his New Year prints and received numerous awards for them.
