Ji Qinghe (纪清和)

Ji Qinghe (1939) is from Dongguang, Hebei Province. He joined the People's Liberation Army in 1955 and studied at the Beijing Artillery School. Upon his graduation in 1958, he was sent to work in the propaganda section of the 40th Army, and there he engaged in self-study of art. He transfered to the Shenyang Mass Art Center in 1972 to become art editor. In 1983, he transfered to the Liaoning Science and Education Film Studio; he is currently head of the Art Office of the Liaoning Film Studio.

Ji is known for his blockprints, for which he was awarded numerous prizes.
