Su Hui (苏晖)

Su Hui (1917- deceased) was from Gaocheng, Hebei Province. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Yan'an Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Letters. He used to be the head of the Frontline Theater; an art reporter for Northeast Pictorial (东北画报). During the War of Resistance Against Japan, he painted propaganda posters in the army and in the countryside. During the War of Liberation, he experienced life in the front line, in the countryside and in factories, and created comic strips, posters, New Year pictures, sculptures, etc.

He has covered a wide range of plastic arts, and is good at sculpture, Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor, woodcut, etc.
