Wang Xindian (1941) was born in Changyi, Shandong Province. After his graduation from the Lu Xun Art Academy, he created many works in his spare time in the People’s Liberation Army. He is now an art designer for the Shenyang Military Region Qianjin (前进) Song and Dance Group.

Aside from stage designs, Wang creates New Year pictures and propaganda posters.
