Mao and Hua Guofeng in Mao's office-cum-library, with Mao handing over his 'testament' - three notes that Mao had written in late April 1976, the most famous one being "With you in charge, I'm at ease". This scene was replayed endlessly - but with minor variations - in propaganda posters. This moreover gave the people the opportunity to see that Mao's reading matter had not been limited to the narrow scope of publications that the masses had to make do with.
