Huang Jun (黄均)

huangjunHuang Jun (1914-2011, Beijing) entered the Chinese Painting Study and Research Association in 1928. For many years, he studied under acknowledged masters. Upon his graduation in 1944, he became a teaching assistant at the Association while continuing his study of landscape painting, calligraphy and classical poetry. He also taught at the National Peiping Art School. After 1949, he joined the faculty of the Central Art Academy.

Huang is known for his gongbi (工笔, 'meticulous') drawings of women, landscapes and flower-and-bird paintings.
