Yu Zhande (1946, Wucheng, Shandong Province) graduated from Shandong Pingyuan Normal College in 1968. The next year, he transferred to the Wucheng District Cultural Center, where he now serves as an assistant research fellow and deputy-director. In 1982, he was recognized as an advanced worker in the Shandong Provincial rural culture and art world.

Yu excels in New Year pictures and is the recipient of a number of prizes.
