Zhang Xiushi (1938) was a native of Liaozhong, Liaoning Province. Zhang graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. He used to be the head of the art editing section of the Liaoning People’s Publishing House. His New Year picture "People's Heroes" won the second prize of National New Year Pictures.

Zhang is good at Chinese painting.
