Bai Hua (柏华)

Bai Hua (1950) is from Xincai, Henan Province. He joined the People's Liberation Army in 1972, and worked as a film projectionist, while he created art in his spare time. In 1979, he was transferred to the Henan Provincial Hygiene and Health Office. After a period of study at the Nanjing Art Academy, in the field of hygiene-related art, he moved back to Henan. Currently, he works in the art research section of the Henan Provincial Health Research Institute.

Bai specializes in propaganda paintings, and is vice-chairman of the Henan Provincial Propaganda Art Research Association. In 1981, he received an award for the poster 'Please do not spit freely' .
