Cheng Guoying (程国英)
Cheng Guoying (1922-1968) was a native from Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. In 1940, he graduated from Harbin Normal College and in 1947, he entered the Jilin Changbai College Art Department. After working as an art editor for the 察哈尔报 (Chahar Paper) published in the Jinchaji (晋察冀) border area, he went on to the Central Art Academy in 1949 to study drawing. Upon graduation in 1953, he joined the Architecture Department at Tsinghua University. Cheng was known for his water colors and oil paintings.
