Gao Zhemin was born in Tianjin in 1935. In 1950, he was admitted to the Tianjin Art Museum to study Western painting. Later, he worked at the Tianjin Democracy Publishing House. He later became a national first-class artist of Tianjin People's Art Theater and a model worker in Tianjin.
