Gu Yizhou - 古一舟
Gu Yizhou (1923-1987) was born in Yunsheng, Shanxi Province. He began his artistic career when he joined the Eigth Route Army in 1937. In 1956 Gu graduated from a special class for cadres in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. Later he entered the Beijing Institute of Painting as a professional artist.
Gu specialized in Chinese ink painting.
