Huang Zhenyong (1930, Chengdu, Sichuan Province) joined the People's Liberation Army in 1950, and became a teacher at the Airforce Academy. In his spare time, he created art. He now is an artist in the Political Department of the Airforce of the Chengdu Military Region.

Huang is well-known for his propaganda art and his New Year pictures, for which he has received prizes.
