Jiang Jianzhang (姜建章)

Jiang Jianzhang (1925) was born in Shandong. In 1948, he became editor of the Friendship Pictorial, published by the Dalian Sino-Soviet Friendship Association. After his graduation from the Dongbei Fine Arts Training School in 1957, he headed the Arts section of the Dalian Mass Art Institute.

Jiang is considered a specialist in Chinese painting and propaganda paintings.
