Liu Yonghuan (刘永焕)

Liu Yonghuan (1940, Xindu, Sichuan Province) graduated in 1964 as a professional oil painter from the Drawing Department of the Sichuan Art Academy. In 1965-1966 he took part in the Revolutionary History Art Creation Drive organized by the Museum of the Chinese Revolution. He later worked as head of the publicity department of the Nanchong Region Film Development Company.

Liu is best known for his oil paintings. The original of his poster 'A succesful operation' from 1975 was included in the National Exhibition Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the PRC. Liu moreover has been awarded prizes for his film publicity posters.
