Li Yuzi (李玉滋)

liyuziLi Yuzi (1935, Yanzhou, Shandong Province) graduated in 1955 from the Fine Arts Department of the Lu Xun Art Academy and was sent to work in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province where he joined the editorial staff of the Shanxi journal Mass Illustrated (群众画报, Qunzhong huabao). He now heads the Shanxi Sculptural Art Academy.

Li is a versatile artist who is known not only for his 工笔 gongbi ('meticulous') work, but also for his Chinese paintings and carvings. His works have been included in a number of collections, including that of the China Art Gallery.
