Lou Qigui (娄齐贵)

Lou Qigui (1943) is a self-taught artist from Wuhan, Hubei Province. After he joined the People's Liberation Army in 1962, he worked in film and other art disciplines. He was demobilized in 1981 to work in Hubei Art Academy. Two years later, in 1983, he joined the serial cartoons editorial office of the Changsha Art Press as well as the editorial board of the Hubei Youth and Children Press.

Lou is known for his serial cartoons and water colors.
