Luo Erchun (罗尔纯)

luoerchunLuo Erchun (1930-2015) was from Xiangxiang, Hunan Province. In 1951, he graduated from the Suzhou Art School and went to work for the People's Publishing House. He transfered to become a teacher in the Fine Arts Department of the Beijing Art Academy in 1959 and five years later, he became a teacher in the middle school attached to the Central Art Academy. He later became a professor in the Oil Painting Department of the Central Art Academy.

Luo was known for his oil paintings, some of which have been included in the collection of the Central Art Academy. Called a "reclusive painter", it was not until April 2015 that he had his first one-man show at the National Art Museum of China.
