Shang Tao (1938), formerly known as Shang Ruotao (尚若涛), is from Beijing. In 1964, he graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He used to be a professor f calligraphy in the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He is currently a professional painter of Guangdong Academy of Painting.
