Shuai Ligong (帅立功)

Shuai Ligong (1942) was born in Guilin, Guangxi Province. Shuai created art from his early years on, studying with his father, Shuai Chujian (帅础坚), a well-known Chinese painter in Guangxi, and graduated in 1964 from the Guangxi Art Academy. He has worked as researcher in the Nanning Municipal Mass Art Museum.

Shuai excels in gongbi (工笔, 'meticulous') portraits and xieyi (写意, 'freely expressive') landscapes. His works are in the collections of the Tiananmen Gate Tower, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the Great Hall of the People, the Chinese Military Revolution Museum, the Beijing Contemporary Art Museum, the Guangxi Museum, the Central Palace of the Peoples, and elsewhere.
