Tang Dequan (1930) was born in Kaijiang, Sichuan Province. He started doing creative work in the Kaijiang Cultural Palace in 1950. He continued his studies in the Industrial Design Department of the Sichuan Art Academy in 1956. After graduation he taught in various educational establishments. Tang retired in 1990.
