Tang YunTang Yun (1910-1993, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province) was always fond of drawing and painting. When young, he served as an apprentice with a number of traditional artists. Before he moved to Shanghai in 1938, he taught Chinese painting in middle schools in Hangzhou. From 1939-1941, he taught Chinese painting at the Shanghai Xinhua Art Training School and the Shanghai Fine Art Training School. After 1953, Tang was mainly active as an administrator in the Shanghai art world.

Tang's specialty is Chinese painting. He collaborated with Lin Ximing.
