Wangqin Laxi (1928-1989), of Mongolian ethnicity, was from Inner Mongolia. He started his studies at the Dongbei (Northeast) Lu Xun Art Academy in 1947, and completed them at the Beijing Central Art Academy in 1952. He was an editor at the Inner Mongolia Illustrated (Neimenggu huabao, 内蒙古画报).

Wangqin was known for his oil paintings.
