Wang Yang (1946, Gaixian, Liaoning Province) graduated from the Fine Arts Section of the Liaoning Normal Art School in 1966. He worked as an artist in the General Headquarters of the Shenyang Military Region. In 1986, he graduated from the Cadres' Refresher Course of the Oil Painting department of the Lu Xun Art Academy.

Wang is specialized in oil painting.
