wangzhongminWang Zhongmin (1929) was from Wujin, Jiangsu Province. After being admitted to school in 1943, he dropped out due to his family's poverty and became a primary school teacher. At the same time, he was determined to learn painting. In 1946, he was admitted to the Art Department of Nanjing Central University. He mainly studied Western painting and sketching. At the same time, he did not give up on Chinese painting. He graduated in 1950. In the autumn of the same year, he went to Northeast China to teach sketching at Shenyang First Normal University, Shenyang Normal University, the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, etc., and published, among others, "Comrade! Get up and exercise!" At the end of the 1960s, he transferred to the Peking Theater to engage in fine arts, and at the same time devoted himself to the creation of opera and painting. In the late 1970s, he taught in the Art Department of the Liaoning Institute of Education. He retired in 1989.
