Mao as a young man on his way to the city of Anyuan to lead a miners' strike. This 1967 oil painting becomes an icon of the Cultural Revolution. The image is reproduced an estimated 900 million times in many different editions. The poster is to be seen almost everywhere, in houses, factories and offices.
This edition is credited as a "Collective creation by students from Beijing universities - carried out by Liu Chunhua and others" (北京院校同学集体創作 - 刘春华等执笔).
