Chinese and Russian Pioneers around a statue of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, a girl who fought the German invaders during the Second World War, and was executed by hanging in 1941 at the age of 18. She was awarded the title of Heroine of the Soviet Union already in 1942. This statue was in the Peter Alekseev Children's Park in the Michalkovo estate in Moscow, not far from the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh - ВДНХ), the main building of which is shown in the background.
