Pan Ru'ai (1935), also known as Song Tao (松涛), was born in Baoying, Jiangsu Province. He was engaged in mass cultural work since January 1951. He is mainly known as a calligrapher. From 1985 on, he has held calligraphy and painting training classes for primary and secondary school students to cultivate new calligraphy and painting talents.
