Sun Guocheng (孙国成)

Sun Guocheng (1945) is a native of Linwu, Hunan Province. He received no formal art training, but for a long time, he designed for the tile factory in Binzhou, and was active in preparing exhibitions. In 1971, Sun was engaged to paint historical subjects at the Museum of the Former Residence of Mao Zedong in Shaoshan, Xiangtan, Hunan Province. In 1981, he went back to work at the Binzhou Art Gallery; there, he is a researcher and concurrently deputy director.

Sun is member of the Chinese Artists Association, committee member of the Hunan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and President of the Binzhou Artists Association.
