Down with imperialism! (1961-1966)

As China is recovering from the famine, a battle for power is raging behind the scenes of the Communist Party, between 'left' (revolution first, then prosperity) and 'right' (economic reconstruction first, then revolution). Propaganda becomes more fierce and intense. For now, the themes of the posters lie outside China itself: struggle against international imperialism and the USA, support for Vietnam. In hindsight, it looks like a rehearsal for the Cultural Revolution.
