New: Chinese Posters on a Timeline

We created a number of timelines with Chinese propaganda posters featuring specific people or things. You can see see when subjects were popular, and how their depiction changed over time. The timelines feature: Deng Xiaoping, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Karl Marx, airplanes, rockets, ships, tractors and trains.

New: American Economic Aid (1948)

On 3 July 1948, the US Ambassador to China and the the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs signed agreements for a value of a US$400 million to balance China's international payments and to promote agricultural and industrial production. Allegedly, except for a small amount, this money was not received because of the Communist takeover.
