It shows further scenes of the Civil War; Mao Zedong's speech marking the inauguration of the People's Republic (开国大典) in Beijing on 1 October 1949; the military part of that same speech, read by Zhu De and other commanders; the fall of the GMD government in Nanjing on 23 April 1949; and the military parade on Tiananmen Square on 1 October.
