American relief supports and helps 22 national general purpose projects to help 10 million people find work. (upper picture) Ten million mu of land can be reclaimed by the construction of sluices and dikes. The picture on the left, taken at the Qiantang river (钱塘江) near Hangzhou, shows the reclaimed land after the construction of dikes.
