First Five Year Plan (1953-1957) - Part 3
The poster below shows what the results of sticking to the plan will be: before the plan, an xxx amount, after the completion of the plan, an xxx + amount. One of the most important ways in which these results should be accomplished is by continuing the policy of collectivization.
And the favorable effects of collectivization are illustrated in detail in the two posters below.
In the subsequent illustrations, various specific guidelines are given to increase agricultural production: increasing the acreage of reclaimed land and the planned production of of high quality and high-yielding foodcrops; and effective use of land and the development of agriculture in mountainous areas.
In the following illustrations, more specific specific guidelines are given to increase agricultural production: improvement of water management and irrigation in the fields and a greater use of new farming machinery and equipment; and increased fertilization and a better selection of seeds and plants.
The poster below provides information about pests and vermin and means to combat them, as well as giving details about new and better ways to plough the soil. The bottom poster provides information on animal husbandry, the only sheet in the series to do so.
