Bai Yang (1946) is of Mongolian ethnicity. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1970. In 1976, he was recommended to restore ancient paintings at the Palace Museum in Beijing, which he engaged in until his retirement.

He was qualified as "worker" (工人) in the impressum of one of the posters he designed.
