Buhe Chaolu (1928), of Mongolian ethnicity, was a native of Zhaomeng, Inner Mongolia. In 1947, he studied at the Northeastern Lu Xun Art Institute. He served as the art editor of the Masses Daily (群众日报) in Rehe Province and the art editor of the Inner Mongolia Daily (内蒙古日报). He was known for his printmaking.
