Chen Leisheng (1931) was from Nanning, Guangxi Province. In 1954, he graduated from the Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is also a photojournalist and has published articles and photographic works in newspapers and periodicals, most of them about sports. His works include Climbing Mount Everest (攀登珠穆朗玛峰), Climbing Mount Shishapangma (攀登希夏邦玛峰), Climbing Mount Namunani (攀登纳木那尼峰), Roaming the Crystal Palace (漫游水晶宫), and others.
