Chen Qingxin (1946) was from Bao'an, Guangdong Province. After graduating from the high school affiliated to the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1965, he worked in the Slideshow Editing Group of the Provincial Film Company. He was art editor of Wulin magazine (武林杂志).

His New Year picture "The people work hard, the pigs are robust" was shown in the 1977 National Art Exhibition to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the publication of Mao Zedong's "Speech at the Yan'an Art Forum". It was published by the People's Fine Arts Publishing House and included in the collection of the National Art Museum of China.
