Deng Changyu (1941) was born in Cangzhou, Hebei Province. In 1964, he graduated from the Southwestern Normal University, and was assigned to the Yibin Cultural Palace. During the Cultural Revolution, Deng often went to factories, mines, enterprises and institutions, creating art free of charge. Deng was transferred in 1977 to the Yibin Science Association to do science propaganda work. He retired in 1998, but remained committed to art education and paying attention to cultivating art talents.
