Deng Erlong (1939), of Zhuang etnicity, was a native of Nanning, Guangxi Province. He was taught by his father Deng Linxu, who had graduated from Shanghai Art College, and loved painting since he was a child. After graduating from high school in 1958, he successively worked as an art editor in the art creation group of the Guangxi Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the National Day Literary Gift Office, the Guangxi People's Publishing House, the Nanning Embroidery Factory, Nanning Light Industry Bureau, etc. He was engaged in art design, art creation and other work.

He has published comic strips, New Year pictures, posters, illustrations, comics, etc. many times.
