Fang Zengxian (方增先)

fangzengxianFang Zengxian (1931-2019) was from Lanxi, Zhejiang Province. After his graduation from the middle school attached to the Central Art Academy in 1953, he remained as a research student. Upon his graduation he took up teaching, which brought him to the Zhejiang Art Academy. He became head of the Shanghai Fine Arts Museum in 1983. In 1996, he founded the Shanghai Biennale.

He cooperated with Yao Gengyun and Lu Kunfeng.
