Fan Yixin (1927-2021) was from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. In 1951, he started to design blockprints and bookcovers. Over the years, he has been an instructor, advertising designer, newspaper editor and member of the art editorial team of the Shanghai People's Publishing House.

Fan was best known for his blockprints and bookcover designs.
