Gong Jingchong (1940) is a native of Zhejiang Province. He graduated from the high school attached to the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in July 1962 and was assigned to the Zhejiang Kunqu Opera Troupe as a stage designer in September. In 1965, he went to the Department of Dance Art of the Shanghai Theatre Academy for advanced studies. Since the early 1970s, he has been transferred to the Zhejiang Yuegai Opera Troupe, the Zhejiang Yue Opera Troupe, and the Zhejiang Yue Opera Theater as a designer.
