Hao Jiaxian (1944) is a native of Anqing, Anhui Province. After his graduation from the Wuxi Light Industry College in 1966, he continued his studies at the Oil Painting department of the Central Art Academy.

Hao taught oil painting at Nanjing Normal University. Later, he went to the United States. He first lived in Memphis, Tennessee for a long time, specializing in portrait painting; then moved to Atlanta, Georgia to continue his professional portrait painting work.
