Hong Tao (1948) was born in Yuhang, Zhejiang Province. He received his training at the Blockprint Department of the Xi'an Art Academy. Hong now works for the Xuzhou Electric Locomotive Factory under the Ministry of Railways.

Hong's specialty is blockprinting.
