Liang Changlin (1951-1983) was a native of Baicheng, Jilin Province. He was admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1974, graduated with honors in 1978, and stayed on to teach in the Chinese Painting Department. In addition to teaching, he concentrated on exploring new ways for the introduction of Chinese figure paintings.
