Li Jianghong (1940) is from Yuanping, Shanxi Province. After his graduation from Shanxi Normal College in 1960, he taught in the Jinbei Art School and worked in the Yanbei Cultural Office. He now has a leading function in the editorial office of the Shanxi ribao (山西日报, Shanxi Daily), and heads its Arts Section.

Jiang excels in New Year pictures and comic strips, but he has also tried his hand at Chinese painting.
