Li Quanwu (1957) is from Huanggang, Hubei Province. He graduated from the Fine Arts Division of the Hubei University of Arts in 1981 and studied in the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1982. Presently he is an art teacher in the Hubei University of Arts. His works include "The Age of Imprisonment" and "On the Way". The comic book "Crescent Moon" won the Gold Medal at the Sixth National Art Exhibition and the First Class Honor Award for Painting at the Third National Comic Book Criteria. He is currently a visiting professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

Li's specialities are oil paintings and comic strips. He currently resides in the United States.
