Li Shiyuan (1938) is a native of Wendeng, Shandong Province. He graduated from Dandong Normal University. He serves as Deputy Research Librarian of the Yuanbao Cultural Center in Dandong City, Liaoning Province; and Chairman of the Dandong Artists Association. His watercolor painting "Snow" won the Excellence Award of the 2nd National Watercolor and Gouache Exhibition; "Childhood" was selected for the 2nd National Sports Art Exhibition; and "Manchuria of Wind and Snow" was selected for the National Art Exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War and Anti-Fascist War.

His creations focus on propaganda designs, watercolors and Chinese painting.
